I have reservations for Disneyland on Thursday, November 11. I received my email stating that the first Disney Christmas party will be held that day. I’m disappointed because I assume we will be asked to leave at 8. Is this correct ?

Happy Holidays and welcome to planDisney, Diane!

I’m thrilled to hear that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort fairly soon. I can’t help but count down the days until our arrival anytime my family has a trip booked. My husband and I joke that I am usually more excited than my little ones.

I did happen to take a look at the park hours, however,  November’s park hours are not yet visible. It does seem that Disney Merriest Nites begin at 8:00 p.m. on select nights. With that in mind, I imagine normal park hours to end at 8:00 p.m., when the after-hour event is set to begin. So if you do not have tickets for the event, you will have to leave. Depending on park hours, you can hop over to Disney California Adventure, if that park remains open longer and if you have a Park Hopper ticket. It’s just a matter of waiting to see the set hours for November. If you don’t want to miss a minute of the magic, you can still purchase tickets for Disney Merriest Nites. I do see availability to purchase tickets for November 11, 2021 still available.

Diane, I’m sure you will still have a fantastic trip. In order to maximize your time, I do recommend arriving as soon as the park opens. My family finds that we can do more early in the morning, as long as we are there as the park opens. Opening the park is actaully one of our must do’s!

Enjoy your visit and if there’s anything else we can help with please don’t hesitate to ask!
