Hey Corey!
Thanks for paying us a visit here at
planDisney!
Fall will be here before we know it and we’ll be drinking pumpkin spice everything! October is one of my favorite times to visit the
Happiest Place on Earth! At this time, the Disneyland Resort is still waiting for guidance from the state on a safe reopening. Just yesterday, Orange County was among a few counties that were allowed to move from the most restrictive stage (purple) into the second stage (red) of California’s four-tiered, color-coded system that was recently introduced. Now that doesn't mean that the Disneyland Resort will open by mid October, but it does mean that we keep moving in the right direction and are a little bit closer.
I’ve been following cancellations and the resorts have been automatically cancelling reservations about three weeks ahead of the current day. I’m not sure if you have a package or how you booked but check to see what your cancellation policy is. If you can, I would let it ride until the very last day you can cancel, or until Disney automatically cancels for you. Double checking your cancellation policy will be key right now. Since your park tickets are valid through January, you may consider rescheduling for November/ December with some holiday fun.
As far as your tickets go, it’s hard to know if your tickets are eligible for an extension without knowing what type of tickets they are. Take a look at this
list to see if your tickets fall into any of these categories. If you’re still unsure, you can always call
ticket member services and they can let you know exactly what your options are.
Well Corey, keep in touch with the Disney Parks Blog to be the first to know about the reopening of the resorts and theme parks.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
