To all who come to planDisney, welcome. Hey there, Jean. I'm all for packing as much magic as you can into a single day at the Disneyland Resort. I can't think of a better way to do this than with not one, but two special experiences.
You can absolutely book and enjoy both
A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour at Disneyland Resort and the
World of Color Dessert Party on the same day. You have a
Park Hopper ticket and these events don't overlap, so you already have the right idea. I do want to mention that the 70th Anniversary tour does include access to a reserved viewing area for the first Paint the Night parade at Disneyland Park. This would conflict with a reservation for the World of Color Dessert Party, so that's something to consider.
Now, if you've already seen Paint the Night and want to forgo the reserved viewing option, then I say continue with your plans. Or, you may want to consider splitting these two fantastic offerings over the course of two separate days.
No matter what you decide, there won't be any shortage of magic to experience during your visit. Guided tours are so much fun and I love learning about the history of Disneyland. I'm hoping to take the
Women Who Make the Magic Guided Tour during my visit next month!
Jean, I hope this is helpful as you're putting the pieces into place for your visit. It won't be much longer until you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy. If there's anything else that we can help with, please come back to see us. Until then, here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
