Hey there, Edward! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with such an important question!
Edward, as the Walt Disney World Resort is in its
phased reopening, you will find a few differences that I'm happy to share! First, you are correct that in addition to a valid theme park ticket, you will need to make a
Disney Park Pass reservation.
Edward, my family and I visited in early August and so I was able to "practice" using this new method of park reservations. After you have logged into your My Disney Experience account, you'll see a tab that says "Disney Park Pass System." If you have previously
made dining reservations or Fastpass+ selections using your My Disney Experience account, you'll find this very easy! You can even
check availability before making any reservations so that you're better able to plan out your trip.
Now, this brings me to the next part of your question... park hopping. Currently the ability to "hop" from one theme park to another in the same day is on pause as part of the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. Edward, as Peter Pan taught us to "
think happy thoughts," I'll be crossing my fingers that park hopping returns in time for your spring vacation! If park hopping has not returned a few weeks before your arrival I would encourage you to call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY to discuss your options. Edward, I had to do just this same thing on my late summer trip and found the Cast Members very eager to help!
Edward, I hope this helps as you are thinking ahead to your next vacation. While things may look a bit different, I can assure you that the Magic is still there and waiting for you. You may even find something new (
like the adorable cavalcades!) that makes you feel like a kid all over again.
Best wishes for a trip full of unforgettable moments. Please come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have. We are all EARS.
Lauren
