Hello, we have reservations for a Disney hotel with park hopper tickets June 1-6 2026. What exactly are the closed rides/activities during those dates, please?

    Hi Brenda!

Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney! That will be such a great time to visit because there will be so many fun things happening at the parks and resorts as part of this year’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER

As your trip gets closer, the easiest place to find the currently unavailable attractions is on the Hours & Events Calendar. When looking at the “Day View” of that calendar, you can open up a section titled “Closed for Refurbishment” under each theme park to see a list.

With that being said, when I look at the information provided for your trip dates, some of the attractions listed in that section already have reopening dates scheduled before your trip. So, you’ll likely be able to enjoy some of the attractions in that section after all!

Let’s break it down by park. But of course, as a quick disclaimer, this information is all subject to change.

First up, at Magic Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain will be the attraction to keep an eye on. It’s set to reopen in Spring 2026, but an official reopening date has not yet been announced. So, that attraction may or may not be open during your trip. Other than that, no other attractions are scheduled to be closed for refurbishment during your trip dates at this time.

At Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is currently closed to make way for the Muppets! It’s set to reopen in Summer 2026, so my guess is that it may be closed during your trip. But time will tell! It’s good to note that Smugglers Run will have a brand new mission beginning on May 22, 2026, and Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will debut on May 26, 2026.

Over at Animal Kingdom, the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch is currently closed, but it will be reopening on May 26, 2026, so that Bluey and Bingo can meet with guests there! DinoLand U.S.A. is permanently closed, as that area of the park is being reimagined.

Finally, at this time, there are no major attractions closed at Epcot. In fact, Soarin’ Around the World will switch over to Soarin’ Across America on May 26, 2026…just in time for you to enjoy the new journey!

I hope that helps as you plan your upcoming trip! Have the best time! And let us know if you have any other questions.
