I want to make reservations for dining in magic kingdom

Welcome to planDisney, Theresa. Dining at Disney is probably my favorite thing to plan, so let's get to it!

If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can book your advance dining reservations at 6 a.m. EST starting 60 days before your check-in date, for up to 10 days of your vacation. For all other Guests, you can book at the same time, 60 days before each date that you'd like to dine. So if you're in your booking window, it's time!

My preferred method when booking reservations in advance is through the Walt Disney World Resort website. The easiest way to see your options currently is to navigate to the dining page and select the blue "Check All Availability" button on the right-hand side of the page. You'll be prompted to log in (if you aren't already), select the number of Guests that will be dining, the dates you're looking to dine, your desired time, and, for location, select only Magic Kingdom Park. Once you hit the blue "Done" button, you'll be shown all of your current options. Browse through them and select the day/time of the restaurant that works for you. Then, follow the prompts from there to book the reservation. Repeat as needed.

If you'd prefer to use the handy My Disney Experience mobile app, click the plus sign (+) in the center of the bottom menu, and click on "Check Dining Availability." Once there, you'll follow the prompts to input the relevant information (similar to the process above). This is my preferred method when I'm actually at the resort!

Now, I can't end this answer without giving a few simple recommendations for dining in Magic Kingdom. If you're looking for the quintessential dining experience in Cinderella Castle, look no further than Cinderella's Royal Table. If you've got some Winnie the Pooh fans, go straight to The Crystal Palace. If you want some great comfort food, The Plaza Restaurant's got your name written all over it. Be Our Guest Restaurant is perfect for Beauty and the Beast fans, and if you're in for some more adventurous fare, you've got one of my personal favorites, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen.

Theresa, enjoy all of your culinary adventures. And be sure to follow along with Disney Eats on the Disney Parks Blog and their Instagram page for new and exciting dining announcements leading up to your vacation. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help!

    Bon appétit,
    Matt
