Well hello there, Ceara! Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m glad you’re hEAR for advice on your upcoming vacation! The Crystal Palace was one of my kid’s first character dining experiences, and it’s one I will never forget. Seeing my baby girl snuggle up to Piglet was adorable, and I have the photos to prove it!
I checked the
Parks and Hours Calendar for Magic Kingdom on 9/9/2017 and while I don’t see Extra Magic Hours that morning, (keep in mind calendars can fluctuate without notice) I do see the parks opens at 9am. I know you have breakfast at 8:05, and you’ll want to be crossing through the touch points by at least 7:45 am or so. Check-in for table service reservations should be about 10 minutes before your actual check in time so they can make sure everything is “bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun” and ready for you! Bag check lines can be long in the morning hours, not to mention unknown monorail wait times (they usually arrive every 10 minutes), plus the parking lot trams. According to the
My Disney Experience mobile app, it will take 24 minutes from arriving at the TTC to Crystal Palace for travel time. You’ll want to park and ride the trams to the TTC, adding at least another 15 minutes from pulling into your parking spot. Walt Disney World Resort rule is to always allow 60-90 minutes for every travel time, so an hour should be plenty of time for bag check and sight seeing before you hit your reservation. Don’t forget a picture of your family in front of Cinderella Castle!
I hope you have a magical trip, and please let me know if we can help you further! Hip Hip Hooray for Winnie the Pooh! ~ Lindsey P.
