We have reservations for Crystal Palace at 8:55 am on 2-27. The calendar says that MK does not open until 9. Do they allow you to enter early if you have reservations? Is having breakfast be the 1st thing kids do at disney a good idea?

Welcome Carrie!  When you have an early dining reservation for one of the parks you will be admitted so you can make it on time.  Please ask where the turnstile for each park is where the early dining parties are admitted and do NOT get in a regular line that is waiting for the general admission opening.  Give yourself plenty of time to walk to the restaurant.  This will take you about 8 minutes from the gates of the Magic Kingdom to the Crystal Palace. I suggest you give yourself a little more time so you can grab a few pictures of the family on Main Street in front of the castle as you are walking to your destination. This is a great time since just a few guests are in the park.

I think it is a good idea to have breakfast in the parks.  Your days will be fast paced and hectic so why not start with something less stressful and exciting for the kids. They will enjoy the character meet and greets throughout and they will get nourished for the long day ahead.

One thing I will suggest is that while you are waiting to be seated and the park officially opens send your husband or a member of the family to head to one of the attractions that is high on your list and get a Fast Pass for the entire family for after breakfast. They will need to take each member of the parties tickets to do this. MIssing one character who might come by during their absence is worth not having to wait in an hour line later in the day. Check out the attractions that offer Fast Pass on the website and choose from them what you wish to do first! Click HERE.

    Have a great vacation!
