Hi! We have reservations for Crystal Palace for breakfast at 8:15 am on March 11. We are NOT staying at a Disney resort (sad, I know!), can you please tell me when/what time we should plan on arriving to Magic Kingdom and where to go upon getting there?

    Hi Nicole!

I love your humor.  Any vacation at Walt Disney World is a special one indeed.  You and I must be a lot alike because dining at the Crystal Palace before the Magic Kingdom opens is one of my all-time favorite things to do.  Yum ~ puffed French Toast and coffee... you're making me "homesick"!

Since your dining reservations instruct you to arrive at the restaurant 15 minutes prior to your reservation time, you should arrive at the special Character Breakfast Entrance in the Magic Kingdom approximately 20-30 minutes prior to your reservation.  The character breakfast entrance should be marked with a sign, but if it's not readily apparent to you then just ask a Cast Member where it is.  Therefore the morning of your breakfast you should arrive at the gates of the Magic Kingdom at approximately 7:45 AM.  That will give you plenty of time to find the special entrance and make your way to the Crystal Palace.

It is a special treat to walk down Main Street USA with virtually nobody else around but your family.  Be sure to stop briefly along the way and take a photo of your family with the Cinderella Castle in the background.  It will feel like the Magic Kingdom is all yours!

I wish for you to have a MAGICAL vacation in every way.  Thank you for your question Nicole, if we can help with other vacation planning questions please come back and visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Have a Disney Day!
