Hello have reservations for coral reef when we go to epcot, am now questioning our decision. Are there other restaurants besides akershus that you can recommend for family dinning esp. that serve American foods? It's my husband,7yr old daughter+me

    Hi Jennifer:

Thanks for sending another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I have a very picky 6 year old daughter who absolutely loves dining at the Coral Reef.  If you are second guessing your reservation, another location I would recommend for family dining in Epcot would be The Garden Grill at Future World.  This location is a character dining experience that overlooks the Living with the Land attraction.  The restaurant slowly rotates as you dine.  The menu offers a variety of American selections, including beef, turkey, vegetables, potatoes and several options for children as well.  My daughter also enjoys dining at Chefs de France in the France Pavilion.  The entreeson the menu are written in French, but don't let that deter you - English translations are offered beside the items and the descriptions are in English as well.  There are many selections that are similar to American Style dining, and the food is absolutely delicious.  My recommendation for a Signature Dining Experience would have to be Le Cellier.  The menu offers many selections similar to American food, but with a Canadian twist (the Poutine is amazing).

I hope you find the dining location that is practically perfect for your family Jennifer.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
