Hi Jamila!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this most festive question. My family just finished packing away the last of our Christmas decorations a few days ago, but it's never too early to start planning ahead for the next holiday season! Visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays is one of my very favorite things to do. The sights and scents are all just a bit more magical. I'm sure you'll feel the same way when you arrive for your stay in December.
I see you have a reservation booked at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. This is a wonderful choice in terms of
resort amenities, location, and dining. You'll have Monorail access to both Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, and a variety of fantastic dining options ranging from quick service at
Contempo Cafe to Signature Dining at California Grill. You can even take the Resort Monorail around Seven Seas Lagoon and snack to your heart's delight at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. While you're there, be sure to check out the incredible lifesize gingerbread house displayed in the Grand Floridian Lobby. It smells just as amazing as it looks!
If you're looking to add a bit of Christmas spirit to your resort room at the Contemporary, be sure to visit
Disney's Floral & Gifts for a variety of beautiful floral and balloon arrangements designed by their Dream Makers. I recently learned about a 52-inch Christmas tree balloon arrangement while listening to Episode 9 of the planDisney podcast and can't wait to order one for my own resort room over my next holiday stay! While they won't be able to deliver directly to your room, items will be delivered to the front desk of your resort for pickup upon your arrival. I also just checked with Guest Services and they let me know you are welcome to bring in your own smaller decorations to spruce up your room as well! Just be sure to call and confirm there haven't been any updates to the restricted items list before you arrive.
I hope this helps makes your upcoming visit just a bit more magical! Stop back and see us again for more planning help.
Wishing you a very merry vacation,
Amy
