Hi, Nancy! I'm so glad you brought your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
As part of the ongoing efforts to make the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks as accessible as possible to
Guests with disabilities, trained
service dogs are welcome in the Parks and in the resort hotels. As long as a service dog has a license, they are allowed anywhere on property with the Guest they are assisting. Also, there is no extra fee for service animals in Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Currently, emotional support animals are not covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and therefore are not permitted in inside the Parks or non-pet friendly areas.
Since your daughter's emotional support animal is a dog, you have options for keeping your fur baby with you while in your room. Four resorts current offer
dog-friendly accommodations, and they each charge a daily fee (prices subject to change):
*
Disney's Art of Animation Resort $50/night
*
Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside $50/night
*
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort $50/night
*
Disney's Yacht Club Resort $75/night
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your upcoming stay, Nancy, I'd encourage you to call and speak to a reservations agent at (407) 939-1936. Also, if you are considering doggie daycare while you're at the Parks,
Best Friends Pet Care is a pet boarding facility located right across the street from Disney's Port Orleans Resort.
Pluto and I both wish you a magical vacation! See ya' real soon!
