Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bonnie! Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside is a gorgeous way to spend your nights while on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. I know you’ll wake as refreshed as I did when I stayed at the sister resort,
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter.
As you may have found, park transportation typically begins an hour before the parks opens, so it may not be ready for your departure before breakfast. There are two things you can do to to make sure you arrive to greet Cinderella in a timely technique, far before the clock chimes. When you check into Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, please check with your concierge to inquire what time the busses will actually start running that morning, as there is occasionally an early bus due to tours and such. Mention that you have breakfast with the royals at
Cinderella’s Royal Table. If, in fact, there are no busses running, you can opt to arrive via LYFT or UBER or a taxi, for a minimal charge. I find that these ride typically cost around $5-10 and some of them, like UBER Family in Orlando, offer car seats. If you decide to change your Resort stay to a
deluxe hotel, you will find that
Minnie Vans are in full operation for those guests.
If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip, please let me know. I don’t want you to feel as if you are turning into a pumpkin or only have mice for friends (thought I hear they are quite friendly and helpful). I look forward to hearing about your adventure at the ball! ~ Lindsey P.
