Hello Taryn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
While I have never dined at
Chefs De France before, I have heard that it is a veritable feast of the senses and has a view
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
My wife and I dined at
La Hacienda de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion during Illuminations: Reflections of Earth last year. We had a prime viewing location and a delicious meal all at once.
Chefs de France has some tables with a view of the fireworks but I have heard that you need to have a table right next to the window for a suitable view. You may request a window table when checking-in for your reservation, but Cast Members cannot guarantee you will be seated in time for the show.
You are more than welcome to arrive early for your Advanced Dining Reservation on the night or your experience, however there is no guarantee you will be seated earlier than your slated reservation. In my experience, Cast Members do everything they can to accommodate your request, and showing up early is a solid plan.
I recommend frequently
checking your My Disney Experience Account to attempt to modify your Advanced Dining Reservations up to the night before your experience as Guests constantly change their plans and reservations often open up leading up to a date.
If all else fails and you find yourself seated at your table when the fireworks begin, I would ask your server if you could step outside to enjoy the fireworks and come back for your meal. It never hurts to ask.
Bon Appétit!
