I have reservations at Chef Mickey’s for 7:45 AM. I am staying at Pop Century. Will the bus services be open that early?? And I’m also assuming that I will need to leave an hour before my breakfast reservation! Will they be open at 6:45??

    Hi Alexis!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I am so happy to see that you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth soon!  I cannot wait to return to Walt Disney World.

I honestly think that using Disney Resort Transport to take you to your breakfast reservation for 7.45am will be very tight, if not impossible.  Disney buses will start operating from Disney's Pop Century Resort around 45 minutes prior to park opening, so unless Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to open at 8.00am for the week of your visit, when your first bus will depart at 7.15am (you can check the most up-to-date opening times on the calendar) you simply will not have enough time.  If you can board the very first bus (and please remember that with social distancing, buses are able to load fewer passengers than usual) you might arrive at Magic Kingdom Park within 30 minutes, but then you will have to either take the short walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort (where Chef Mickey's is located) or transfer to the monorail, and I feel you just won't have enough time.  I would recommend you use a taxi to take you directly to Disney's Contemporary Resort - you can enquire at the Front Desk of your hotel, and ask them to call you a taxi.  Alternatively, you could try and make a later reservation at the Chef Mickeys?  Cancellations happen all the time, so keep checking back for a later slot.

On your return to your hotel when you have more time, you could take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, then enjoy the Disney Skyliner back to Disney's Pop Century Resort.  This is an attraction all of its own, offering wonderful views around the Resort while you travel along.

During the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.

Please come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
