We have reservations at Chef Mickey’s at 7:25am and are staying at Art of Animation. Our first FastPasses are scheduled to start at 9am in Animal Kingdom. What are the best routes we can take or this day to make sure we make it to everything on time?

    Hello Sheila!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just weeks away!

You must be excited to start your day with breakfast at Chef Mickey’s! Since you have an early reservation and Guests are advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to their reservation time, I recommend checking with Front Desk what times buses will start running from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to Magic Kingdom Park on the morning of your reservation. I have seen buses depart very early for Guests with breakfast reservations, but make sure that they will be departing at least one hour before your reservation time at around 6:25 a.m. Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom you can walk over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort where Chef Mickey’s is located. If buses are not available you can always take a taxi or a Minnie Van from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I believe this would be my option as they would allow me to leave a little later at about 6:45 a.m. At least for my family an extra 20 minutes in the morning can go a long way!

Once you are finished with your meal, take a bus from Disney’s Contemporary Resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. If your first FastPass+ window starts at 9:00 a.m. you may arrive until 10:00 a.m. so you should have time. Plan on leaving Disney’s Contemporary Resort no later than 8:45 a.m. and again, if you feel that you are running late, take a taxi to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

I hope this helps you while planning, Sheila! Thank you for stopping by once again!

    Best magical wishes,
