I want to make reservations for Chef Mickey's, my question is this. Is there a "cover charge" along with the cost of eating there? I've read that the meals are reasonable but it costs a lot because of the characters being there. Thanks!!

Welcome to the Moms Panel Rusty!

We're so glad you're hEAR!  My family loves character meals and Chef Mickey's is one of our favorites. My boys love watching the monorails come through the Contemporary Hotel while we're eating.

The cost of character meals can sometimes (not always) be a little higher than other dining locations.  It costs more because you are also paying for the experience and convenience.  I love being able to enjoy a great meal while waiting for the characters come to our table instead of waiting in a line to see a character.  At Chef Mickey's you typically get to see all of the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald) so it saves you a lot of time.  I love the one-on-one attention you get too.  They will pose for multiple pictures and sign autographs.  I am not a huge eater, but big eaters can usually get their money's worth on the buffet alone.  So many yummy options!

Breakfast is the least expensive meal at Chef Mickey's so if you can work it into your schedule, that is what I'd aim for when making my reservations.

Please feel free to visit us again.  We're thrilled to assist you!  Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
