Hi Nicole! Welcome back to planDisney.
My family had breakfast at
Chef Mickey's last week, and we had the best time! Like you, we planned it for our non-park day, and it was a fantastic sprinkle of pixie dust in the middle of a day of sleeping in, pool time, and exploring. Mickey glove high five to you for this excellent plan!
Chef Mickey's is at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is not inside a theme park - so you are welcome to visit on a day where you are not using theme park tickets. Since you have a Table Service dining reservation at Chef Mickey's, you will be allowed to park at Disney's Contemporary Resort during your meal. When you pull up to the security booth, show your dining reservation on the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and they should wave you through to parking. If you'll be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you could also use the monorail, Disney boat transportation, or Disney bus service to Magic Kingdom Park and then walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Enjoy your meal at Chef Mickey's! We enjoyed the breakfast, and my hot tip is to take the toppings from the Banana Bread French toast and slather them on a Mickey Waffle. Drool! We also loved the loaded potato casserole and requested...ahem...several refills. The character interactions are socially distanced but still wonderful - have your camera ready and be ready to clap and dance!
Enjoy your rest day and your meal with Mickey and his pals! As Pluto would say, "BONE appetit!"
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
