    We have 7:30am reservations @ Chef Mickey's, then heading over to Magic Kingdom. We are staying outside of the resorts and have our own vehicle. Should we park at MK and take the monorail over to the Contemporary? Is the parking lot open that early?

    Hi Cindy!

    This sounds like a great way to start the day!  My family and I love having breakfast at Chef Mickey's.

    I do suggest parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center, the parking lot for the Magic Kingdom, and then taking the resort monorail to the Contemporary.  The express monorail may not be running that early and while it goes through the Contemporary, it doesn't stop until you get to the Magic Kingdom and then you would have to walk back to the Contemporary. 

    The other option would be to go ahead and park at the Contemporary.  After breakfast, some members of your party could take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom while one person moves the car to the Magic Kingdom parking lot.  When you arrive at the Contemporary, just tell the Disney Cast Member there that you are having breakfast at Chef Mickey's.  On busy days at Walt Disney World, the Cast Member may give you a timed parking pass for a couple of hours.  On other days, you will just be waved in and told where to park.
