We have reservations at Chef Mickeys for dinner to celebrate my son's birthday. Is there anywhere we could go to watch the fireworks after dinner at the Contemporary?

    Hi Kim,

This is something that I figured out for the first time in all my years of vacationing at Walt Disney World, on my last trip in December.  My mom, my daughter and I had all just finished eating at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort, when we decided that we did not want to end our evening yet.  We decided to go to the arcade (a place we seem to frequent quite a lot!), which is located on the same floor as the restaurants and gift shops (upper level), where the Monorail enters the resort coming from Magic Kingdom.  We heard a lot of noise and couldn't figure it out until....we saw lights coming from outside the windows.  Low and behold....FIREWORKS! from the most Magical Kingdom ever.  We were amazed at how great the viewing was from the bench we were sitting comfortably in, inside the resort, looking out the window and with no crowds...Yayyy!  Definitely would do this again, the only sour note would be that you miss out on the wonderful music and narrating!  Try it, I am sure you will be pleased and I hope your son has a magical Birthday!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
