I have reservations at Chef Mickey s for 7 30 am What time does the monorail begin ? Coming from the Polynesian.

Oh Gail, it sounds like you have an amazing day planned! I can't imagine a better way to start a day at Walt Disney World than with breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Don't forget to bring your camera and your appetite.

The monorail that connects your resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort typically starts running a minimum of one hour prior to opening time at the Magic Kingdom. For instance, if the Magic Kingdom opens at 8 am on the day of your reservation at Chef Mickey's, the monorail will be running by 7 am. That would give you plenty of time to arrive at Disney's Contemporary Resort. (Chef Mickey's can be found on the fourth floor there.)

If, however, the Magic Kingdom is not scheduled to open until 9 am, stop by the front desk at Disney's Polynesian Resort the night before your breakfast reservations. Let them know about your reservation at Chef Mickey's. Chances are the monorail will be running early enough to take you to your reservation even though the Magic Kingdom is opening later that day. The front desk Cast Members will be able to advise you if that is the case. If, for some reason, that is not possible, I suggest taking a very short and inexpensive taxi ride over to Disney's Contemporary Resort from your hotel.

Let us know if you have any other questions. I love working through the logistics of a Walt Disney World vacation!

Best wishes for many magical memories,
    Jill
