We have reservations at character breakfasts (and some dinners) for an upcoming trip, but I was wondering what people recommended. Are there benefits to doing breakfast over dinner? Which character meals do people recommended as well as do not?

    Hi Leah!

My family loves character dining at Walt Disney World and is a must do for each and every trip, it is a fantastic way to meet the characters outside of the parks.Dining with the characters for breakfast includes several benefits:
    • A magical way to start your day at Walt Disney World
    • If dining at a location inside of the parks, you can gain early entrance before other guests are allowed inside.  It's a wonderful way to get pictures in front of some very famous icons like Cinderella Castle.  Plus, you will already be inside of the parks ready to start your day before other guests arrive.
    • Character breakfasts are the least expensive meals for dining with your favorite characters, this can be a big factor if you are not on Disney's Dining Plan.
Spending breakfast with Disney friends is a great idea, dinner is another fantastic time to dine with the characters.Dinner allows you to spend more time enjoying your meal and visiting with the characters, plus it's a great way to end your day at Walt Disney World.

While all of the character meals are fantastic, you would probably get a different answer from every Disney Parks Moms Panelist. My favorite locations are Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace.I also recommend dining at Cinderella's Royal Table at least once, for the simple fact that you are able to dine inside of Cinderella Castle which is a magical experience.Hollywood and Vine and Garden Grill are both good character meals, but with so many great places to dine I usually don't frequent these two often.

I'm sure that no matter where you dine, you will have a fantastic experience! After all you are in Walt Disney World and that alone ensures that you will be making memories that will last a lifetime!I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Bon Appetit!
