Do I have to make reservations for a character breakfast or do they take walk ups?

Hello Alaire and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's a pleasure for us to assist you in planning towards your magical upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
Beginning your Disney day with a character breakfast is super magical! In fact one of my families favourite ways to meet with Disney Characters is by making an Advanced Dining Reservation for a Character Meal, I truly do believe that this is the very best way to have fun and interact with beloved Disney pals in a relaxed mealtime setting.
Although with a little extra pixie dust it may just be possible to walk-up to a Disney Table Service restaurant to score a reservation I highly suggest making Advanced Dining Reservations up to 180 days ahead of arrival.
It's easy to secure reservations either online at Disney Dining ~ Disney.go.com or via My Disney Experience or My Disney Experience Mobile app or by speaking to a friendly Cast Member by dialling the number for Dining Reservations contained within this Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory
Wishing you a visit to Walt Disney World Resort that is practically perfect in every way.
    Have a great Disney day.
