Welcome to planDisney! It doesn’t matter how many attractions my toddler has been on; if she knows that a parade is about to start, she immediately makes us stop what we are doing and find a spot. If I’m being honest, I love that! Who doesn’t enjoy watching the parades go down Main Street, U.S.A.?!
Great question, Veronica. I know that over at the Happiest Place on Earth in Anaheim, they often have
Plaza Inn Dining Packages that let you enjoy a yummy meal and a reserved space for parades (I’ve done it before and swear by it). Unfortunately, over at the Most Magical Place on Earth in Orlando, there is no such equivalent Enchanting Extra for
Festival of Fantasy,
Disney Starlight,
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade,
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and all other Calvacades (note, you do need to have separate event tickets to see the Halloween and Christmas parades). Parade viewing locations are currently first-come, first-served. Now there is one caveat to this: Guests with a
Private VIP Tour can use the special parade viewing areas if the tours coincide with their confirmed tour time (subject to availability).
I hope this was helpful, Veronica. Before I let you go, I’m not sure which parade in particular you are wanting to check out, but can I give you a tip? For most parades, the routes kick off in Frontierland. So if you want to be at the very start of the parade, then you will want to get a spot over there. The one exception to this, of course, is Disney Starlight Parade. Most nights, it begins on Main Street! I always like to find a spot close to Casey’s Corner on those nights so I can check out the show and grab my Mobile order for the evening.
