Greetings Abby!
A very warm welcome to planDisney!
Like me, I’m sure you were very excited when the Disney Parks Blog announced that
Buena Vista Street would be opening as an extension of the
Downtown Disney District. I can’t wait for more Disney shopping and dining experiences plus some holiday cheer! I’m really looking forward to celebrating the holiday season at “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
Some details we learned are that several retail locations including Elias & Co, Julius Katz & Sons, Trolley Treats, and Kingswell Camera Shop will be open so you can shop til you drop. Along with those, you’ll also have the opportunity to dine at Smokejumpers Grill and Award Wieners. Plus, you can enjoy treats like popcorn and popsicles from the outdoor vending carts. And, the location I’m most looking forward to is
Carthay Circle Lounge. The restaurant is offering alfresco dining with expanded outdoor seating and amazing views of Buena Vista Street. While we know that the Lounge will offer a menu featuring Mediterranean-California cuisine and cocktails, we don’t know much more. Additional details on Carthay Circle Lounge, including whether or not reservations will be required, will be shared soon. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more information.
If you have not visited the Downtown Disney District since the re-opening, I encourage you to check out the
website before your visit. You can view the new guidelines and check out a list of all the other open locations. Lastly, please note that while parking is currently complimentary, starting on November 19 parking will be $10 per car (prices are subject to change without notice).
Thanks for stopping by, Abby! Please head back to planDisney with more questions!
