Hey Howdy Hey Fran and welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you have a full day and evening planned for your visit later in October. Not only will you have your hands full experiencing everything EPCOT has to offer, but you chose a great way to end the evening over at
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. While I know you are going to have an amazing time, let's talk about the logistics of getting to the resort and the timing for the fireworks.
Getting to the Contemporary should be super easy. You can choose to drive, if you have a car and drove to EPCOT, and should have no issues parking at the hotel to get to your reservation. Your other option is taking a ride on the highway in the sky with the
Walt Disney World Monorail. You can catch the monorail from EPCOT to the Transportation and Ticket Center and transfer to the Resort monorail that will take you to the Contemporary resort. Not to worry, electric scooters are more than welcome aboard the monorail.
With regards to fireworks, things are going to look a bit different on October 20th.
Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party will be taking place in Magic Kingdom on that night. Weather permitting,
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is the fireworks show that will be happening at 10:00 PM that evening rather than Happily Ever After on most nights. While stretching a dining reservation from 7:00 PM to 10 will be tough, in most cases, Guests of California Grill will be allowed to view the fireworks from the observation deck right outside the restaurant if they dined earlier in the evening. You will typically have to show your receipt to get access but as long as there is room, Guests are typically allowed to view the show. I would make sure to verify the steps required with your server at the time of your reservation.
Fran, I hope this information helped figure out your transportation and fireworks viewing options. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
