Welcome to planDisney! I'm always happy to "dish" about dining at Walt Disney World Resort. With so many great restaurants to choose from, there is something for every Guest to enjoy.
California Grill is one of our favorite restaurants - not just for the delicious food, but also for those amazing fireworks views!
Kristine, with a 6:00 PM dining reservation, I think you'll be finished with your meal well before the fireworks that are scheduled for 9:30 PM that night. After you've finished dinner, you can leave the restaurant and return later in the evening to access an outdoor viewing area, which offers incredible views (standing only) of the fireworks. When you return, you'll need to show your receipt at the check-in stand before being allowed on the elevator to return to the restaurant, as the viewing area at California Grill is reserved exclusively for those who have dining reservations that evening. I'd recommend
confirming the fireworks time that day, as entertainment schedules are subject to change.
After your dinner, you are welcome to enjoy shopping or one of the lounges at
Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Outer Rim or
Steakhouse 71 Lounge are always popular choices to grab a cocktail or mocktail while you wait! If time allows, I'd suggest taking the
Walt Disney World Monorail over to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to check out their new lobby bar,
The Perch. The
recent renovations to the lobby at the Grand Floridian look amazing, and I can't wait to see them in person!
