I have reservations at California Grill at 9:35pm. Will I have enough time to order appetizer and eat before Wishes start (10pm)? I'm going with my mom to celebrate her birthday. Can I get a birthday button from the front desk of CR?

    Hello Tatiana,

Celebrating a birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort is just about as magical as it gets. Dining at California Grill in Disney's Contemporary Resort followed by a rooftop view of Wishes nighttime spectacular...well, that's going to be a very pixie-dusted ending to your Mom's special day!

California Grill is a very popular Dining location and will most likely be busy at the time of Advanced Dining Reservation. I suggest taking a look at the menu and deciding on the appetizer that you want ahead of time. In my experience, Salads are usually prepared and served very quickly. However, there is no need to rush to get your appetizer before the fireworks show. Order what you wish and if it is a hot appetizer then tell the Cast Member serving you to wait until you return to your table to bring your order. You can then take your time and enjoy every bite! Also, be sure to tell the Cast Member serving you that you are celebrating a birthday!

You can get a "Happy Birthday" Celebration Recognition Button at the front desk of any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or at Guest Services at any of the Theme Parks and Disney Springs
