Hello! I have reservations for California Grill Brunch at the Top for my birthday. The dress code says no flip flops. I have very blingy flip flops which look like sandals, but still might be considered flip flops. Would these violate dress code?

Hi Michelle! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

In no time at all, you will be dining at my absolute favorite restaurant on all of Walt Disney World Resort property! Just thinking about the delicious food and spectacular views at California Grill in Disney's Contemporary Resort has me wishing upon a star that I was there right now.

I have dined at California Grill many times and have always worn dressy sandals, but not usually flip-flops because of the dress code. However, at one point I was having foot issues and wore dressy, supportive flip-flops, but packed another pair of nice sandals in my bag, just in case. Nothing was said about my flip-flops, so I wore them to dinner, but I would not have done that unless I had my back-up shoes with me. It would have been awful to be turned away because of a poor shoe choice! My advice is to try for a dressy pair of non flip-flop style sandals if possible, just to be on the safe side.

Enjoy your yummy birthday brunch, Michelle! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have.
