We have reservations for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and Donald's Safari among 2 other character dining reservations during our stay. Are these similar experiences with similar food options? I'm afraid I am over planning for a 7, 3, and 2 year old.

    Hi, Kristin!

    Great question...and great planning, too!

When traveling with little ones the ages of your kids, I think that the character meals (especially the buffets) will be perfect for you...all of them. The specific specialties of each restaurant will be different, although you'll find some comforting similarities among the various restaurants' kids' sections. (Think pizza, chicken fingers, etc.)

Seeing the different characters will be great, too, so having reservations at a variety of locations will not only be super-fun, but will also save you time later. Think of all of those autographs and photo ops you won't have to wait in line to get, Kristin; you'll have access to them at your character meals!

The final feature that I love about the restaurants you've mentioned is that they are buffets. There is nothing better than heading in to a restaurant when your little ones are hungry and POOF! The food is ready and waiting for you to serve yourselves. Yum! No waiting with rumbly tummies for your food to be brought to the table.

Regarding your planning, again, I think that you've made a great choice, Kristin. Advanced Dining Reservations will help ensure that your family is sitting down to a delicious meal, off their feet and out of the elements for at least an hour a day. That downtime is really fantastic, and it's something that you may not notice you really needed because you've already worked it into your daily schedule. Great job, Mom!

Send more questions as you think of them, Kristin; we love to help!
