Hey there, Meg! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping answer Guests' planning questions!
I'm sorry to hear you were having difficulties securing the dining reservations you were hoping for. I totally understand that frustration! I'm serious about my food experiences in the parks, and I am hopeful I can help you out. Unfortunately, dining reservations tend to drop closer to 6:00 a.m. PST time versus midnight. Although, that also isn't always the case and you'll see them trickle in over the next few days. I end up checking every few hours to see if I can see when reservations drop. I know that also can be frustrating too!
What I can tell you is that
Oga's Cantina is a popular spot and usually I don't see many reservations actually show up for that. While it is popular, it still is totally possible to be able to experience it without reservations. Since this location mostly has just drinks and a few appetizers, Guests tend to stay much shorter meaning more Guests can experience it in a day. So here are my tips:
1. Keep checking for
reservations to show up. This can happen! It's more likely to happen in the days leading up to the date you want to visit because people are finalizing their plans too and end up canceling.
2. Use the
Mobile Walk-Up List! In the Disneyland app, you can search for Oga's Cantina. On that information page, you will see an option to "Join Walk-Up List". You will need to be close to the actual location for this to activate. Also make note that above the join option, you will see in red "Walk-Up List is at capacity" from time to time. Don't worry it can open up again!
3. Lastly, it never hurts to kindly ask a Cast Member at the entrance if they are taking reservations or accepting walk-ups. The last time I tried getting on the wait list it said it was at capacity, but a Cast Member was able to accommodate us right away!
Meg, don't give up hope! I really am hopeful that you will be able to get into Oga's Cantina. Till the Spire!
