Ma chère Mademoiselle, it is with deepest pride, and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney.
Melanie, I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. When visiting the Disneyland Resort, eating is part of the magic. Like Anton Ego from Ratatouille, I don't just like food, I
love it!
Blue Bayou Restaurant is a great choice. The location (I mean, it's
inside the
Pirates of the Caribbean ride!), the ambiance, the décor, the music, the food, it's all so good. My personal recommendation would be the Monte Cristo sandwich! Mmmmm... now I'm all rumbly in my tumbly.
Melanie, you'll be pleased to know that Blue Bayou Restaurant is now open! In fact, it's been open for a few months now. However, I fear that securing a dining reservation this late in the game is going to be difficult. You see, Guests are able to make dining reservations 60 days in advance of their visit. As you can imagine, Blue Bayou Restaurant is an extremely popular place to eat. Therefore, tables usually get snapped up quickly. However, all is not necessarily lost. Sometimes people cancel their reservations for a variety of reasons. Therefore, if you keep checking you might find a table suddenly becomes available. I would even keep checking the day before your visit. I've gotten late reservations many times on my Disney adventures.
But here's another option: arrive at Disneyland Park as soon as it opens. Instead of heading for your favorite attraction, venture over to Blue Bayou and join the
walk-up list by scanning the QR code located near the restaurant entrance. This is a great way to try and get a table if you don't have reservations. The only downside is that you'll just have to be flexible when it comes to the time you'd like to eat.
I hope that's helpful, Melanie. Have a great trip! "Drink up me hearties, yo ho!"
ChEARS!
Mike
