We have reservations at the beach club for breakfast at 9:55 am. We are staying at Old Key West., What time do you reccommend we leave our resort to make it in time? Thanks

    Hi Angela,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  You will be visiting some great resorts during your trip to Walt Disney World.  I always find a stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort to be relaxing.  A visit to Disney's Beach Club Resort during your stay will be fun.  I love the quaint beach feel at this resort.

If you are driving you own vehicle, I would allow yourself about 20 to 30 minutes door to door from your villa to Disney's Beach Club Resort.  If you are planning to take Disney transportation from your villa at Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney's Beach Club Resort, I would suggest that you be at the bus stop about 60 to 90 minutes ahead of time.  This might sound like a long time; however, you are going to need to build in transfer time. I recommend that you take the bus from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  From there, you can either take the boat or walk to Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Either is a leisurely commute between the two.  The walk is a nice walk along the water, but would likely take about 20 minutes.

If you do not wish to invest this time, you could always head to the valet desk near the lobby area of Disney's Old Key West Resort and ask a cast member to call a taxi for you.  There will be a cost associated with this, but typically a cab ride around Walt Disney World will cost you no more than about $25 and will take you directly where you want to go.  If time is tight and you do not have your own car, this might be a good option for you.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Angela.  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
