Welcome back to planDisney, Elisa! Thanks for sailing to us with another question.
I think that two consecutive cruises on the
Disney Wish is a wonderful idea! In fact, I was recently on the Wish and crossed paths with a few cruisers doing the same thing. To say I was jealous is an understatement!
I have great news for you, as the process of disembarking and then boarding the ship again is designed to be as quick and easy as possible for back-to-back guests. You can expect to receive more detailed communication about the process in your stateroom as your first sailing draws to a close. Generally, you disembark the ship as late as allowed, exit the port terminal and then enter security again (with extremely minimal crowds, before the guests of the next sailing), check in at the terminal, and wait for a brief period before being allowed on the ship. A friend I spoke with said that the entire process took them approximately 45 minutes, although this is subject to change as circumstances can vary.
There isn't much to do within walking distance of the port (the area is dedicated to parking lots and port operations) and I encourage you to follow the process to return to the ship with your fellow back-to-back cruisers. If you decide to venture out, you will need to wait in longer lines as new cruisers will be arriving for their opportunity to check in and board the ship.
It won't be long till your adventure begins, Elisa! I've heard that after you get onboard for that second sailing, it's the perfect time to take pictures of the ship. It will feel like you have the Disney Wish all to yourself! If you have further questions, please visit us at planDisney again. My pals and I are here and happy to help.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
