We have reservations already made for October 2022. Can I add a day to the reservations?

    Greetings, Angie!

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to see that you are planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth this fall. And the only thing better than a trip to Walt Disney World Resort is adding extra time to your adventure! I am happy to report that you can easily add an extra day to your magical stay in just a few moments.

If you are looking to add an additional day to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package or room-only reservation, you can do so online through My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World website. Select the My Plans option from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu, located at the top right of the screen to get started. This page will show all of your itinerary details including your hotel accommodations and confirmation number. Next to your resort details will be a Change Reservation link. Choose this option to add that extra time in the magic in no time at all. The next page will show a variety of changes you can make, including Travel Dates. Select this link and follow the remaining prompts to add that day in a matter of moments. Changes can also be made by phone by contacting a Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. I have a few pro tips to offer for this type of change.
    • Changes are based on availability. If your resort does not have any additional nights, you can consider a split stay ( two resorts in one trip) or changing your resort to enjoy that extra time. A split stay is a great way to enjoy an additional resort during your adventure and is the perfect option if you are having a tough time deciding between two favorites.
    • If you booked your upcoming trip through a travel agency, they will need to make these changes for you. The option will not be available online or by phone.
    • This type of change can not be made through the My Disney Experience mobile app. (This is one of the big differences between the app and the website.)
I hope that these tips help you add some extra time to your magical stay! You picked an amazing time to visit. The Not-So-Spooky autumn festivities will be in full swing, including the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This fan-favorite event is returning to delight Guests this fall! My Ohana and I have attended this event more than once, and I must say it is an absolute blast. Characters are dressed to impress in their favorite costumes, and trick or treating has never been more magical. Should you add this special event to your must-do list, don't forget to check out Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade. It's sure to leave a lasting impression!

I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
