If we have reservations for 4, 3 adults 1 infant, can that be considered for 4 adults instead and have baby sit on my lap? We recruited Grandma last minute for our trip and I called to add her to the hard to get reservations we have and it was a no go.

Hello Torrie.  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

How wonderful Grandma is coming with you on vacation.  I've been very fortunate to have my mother come with us several times to Walt Disney World and it is a great help!  Due to fire safety regulations in the state of Florida, there can only be a certain number of bodies in each Walt Disney World restaurant at any given time.  That's why they ask you to include babies in the number of people when making your reservation.  My best advice to you is to keep trying to change your reservation.  If you have no luck, I would certainly try it.  You may have to wait a little bit past your reservation time or if the restaurant isn't that busy you may be able to go right in.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
