Gene, thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I think I can speak for the entire planDisney family when I say how sorry I am to hear that your friend passed away recently. We are sending hugs and magic your way during such a difficult time.
I would love to try to help get to the bottom of your question. It sounds like your party had both
theme park tickets and
theme park reservations for May 9th, but you have gone ahead and canceled the reservations for everyone in the group. I do have some hopefully good news to share with you. When it comes to Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets, single-day tickets purchased this year are valid until December 30, 2023. Even if you do reach the expiration date, you always have the option to apply the value of the ticket towards the purchase of a new Disneyland ticket so the magic never fully runs out. We know plans change and unexpected life events can occur, so there is quite a long window for Guests to be flexible with their planning. While tickets are typically
nontransferable between guests or between the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, you may want to give our Cast Members in
Guest Services a call at (714) 781-4636 to discuss your particular situation. They will be more than happy to help you.
While I know it may be hard to imagine at the moment if there comes a time when the magic calls and you are ready for some cheer, the Happiest Place on Earth will be ready with open arms. To use your current tickets, all you would need to do is make new theme park reservations. You can do this easily within the
Disneyland Mobile App. When you open the app, click the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "Make a Park Reservation". If all of the tickets are linked to your account, you will be able to make a reservation for everyone who is attending at the same time. On the next screen, select "Make Park Reservations" followed by "Book Theme Park Reservation". Select the Guests in your party and your new date. Follow the rest of the prompts and you should be all set. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance and are subject to availability, so I always recommend taking a look at the
theme park reservation calendar to ensure your new dates are available while you are planning.
Gene, if you have any more questions, please feel free to reach back out to us. We are always here for you at
planDisney.
