Heigh-ho, Henry! Welcome to planDisney! You'll be off to the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days, so let's whistle while we work on an answer to your question!
Henry, I have some recent experience with park hopping at Walt Disney World that I'm happy to share with you. My family spent a few days last week at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and we decided at pretty much the last minute that we wanted to
visit the Magic Kingdom Park to see the fireworks on the 4th of July. Our
Disney Park Pass reservation that day was at EPCOT, so we knew we'd have to take advantage of our
Park Hopper Option to make it happen. I kept an eye on the park hours section of the
My Disney Experience app on my phone to make sure park hopping hours were still listed, meaning hopping was still a "go." Once the clock struck 2 p.m., we headed over to the Magic Kingdom and hopped right in! While the official policy is that park hopping is subject to capacity limits, I'd say that if we can enter the Magic Kingdom on a busy holiday, your additional Guest should have no trouble meeting up with you next week. Just remember that you still need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for them in
a park that has availability, and they'll have to visit that park before going to the Magic Kingdom. Then, your whole party can have a magical time together!
I'm so excited for your vacation to begin, Henry! Be sure to check out our
