Hi Timothy,
Welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up soon, so I'm happy you stopped by with your question.
I believe you are asking about making
dining reservations for your visit. If so, now is the time!
You can reserve dining up to 60 days in advance at any of the Walt Disney World table service restaurants. Some reservations, especially for
character dining, fill up fast so it's good to book as early as possible. Even though your visit is just a couple of weeks away, you should still have lots of great choices available.
My best advice is to look at your schedule, consider your family's priorities (casual dining, character meals, fancy fare, burgers and pizza, etc.) and choose your restaurants and times accordingly.
For my family's visits, for example, I like to make one reservation per day. That way, we know we won't have to spend time making a decision about our main meal of the day while we are enjoying the rides and attractions.
We're not early risers or breakfast people. So usually, I will vary our reservation times between a lunch or a dinner reservation per day, based on our itinerary.
If we're doing a long day in one of the theme parks, then a mid-afternoon late lunch/early dinner reservation as a time to rest and recharge works best for us.
Or, if it's a non-park day that we intend to spend around the pool, I may book a late morning brunch somewhere like Boma or Ale & Compass. After a day snacking around the World Showcase at Epcot, we might like a casual meal at Beaches & Cream or Via Napoli. For a special occasion or celebration, we will choose one of our favorite spots at
Disney Springs (usually Jaleo, The Boathouse or Morimoto Asia).
There are Walt Disney World restaurants to fit every taste, style and budget, Timothy, so have fun thinking about what's just right for your family.
If you want to make a change once you arrive at Walt Disney World, that's easy. In the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can modify (based on availability) or cancel your reservations quickly and easily. Please note that you must cancel at least two hours in advance to avoid a no-show fee.
And if you find yourself starving at a time when you don't have a reservation, you can use the
"Hungry Now" function in My Disney Experience to join a walk-up list at a restaurant near you. Or use the app to
mobile order your food and beverages from a quick service dining location.
I hope that's helpful, Timothy. If I've misunderstood your question or if you want more dining suggestions and tips, please let us know.
Enjoy,
Wilma
