Welcome to planDisney, Cheryl. Thanks for taking the time to visit us.
After being closed for over a year due to the pandemic, lots of people are excited that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will officially reopen on April 30, 2021. Cheryl, I’m guessing you’re more than ready to return to the parks too. It’s been so long since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. or get soaking wet on
Grizzly River Run.
When Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen in late April, there will some changes in place for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. Cheryl, while not much information has been released by Disney Management yet, we do know that park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. To enter a park, Guests will need a valid park admission AND a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. Though we don’t have all the details yet, I speculate it will be akin to the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that has been in place at
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since last summer. Moreover, to be compliant with current guidance from the State of California, only California residents are allowed to experience the theme parks during the initial phased reopening.
To stay up-to-date with the latest park news, be sure to check out
Disneyland.com and
Disney Parks Blog occasionally so you don’t miss a beat! You can also follow
Disney’s social media accounts too! Judging by how quickly
A Touch of Disney tickets sold out (I speak from personal experience, after waiting nearly six hours to get tickets for my family!), I anticipate new ticket sales and park reservations will be swooped up swiftly by Guests eager to “
Return to the Land of Magic”!
When we hear more announcements regarding reopening guidelines, I hope you’ll come back to visit us on
planDisney for more tips and advice. Please don’t hesitate to send us more questions. We’re all EARS to help you plan a memorable trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth”!
See ya real soon,
Kiki
