We have a reservation for the After the Fireworks dessert party in MK on July 4. If we leave midday to go back to our resort for a break (staying on property) and the park has reached max capacity, will we be able to return for the party? Thanks!

    Hi Edana,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. Recently, I had the chance to enjoy the Magic Kingdom After-Fireworks Dessert Party and it really is a great way to see Magic Kingdom Park’s fireworks shows, especially on days that typically tend to see higher crowds, such as Independence Day.

From what I understand about capacity closures at the Disney Parks, Guests with in-park dining reservations are typically allowed to enter the Theme Park where their reservation is scheduled, even if the Park is closed to other types of Guests (for example, if they aren’t staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or are using a One-Day Theme Park Ticket to enter the Park). Although this information can change at any time, I still think it’s a wonderful idea to leave the Park for an afternoon swim/rest break and then head back rested and refreshed for even more Disney fun at night. In fact, it’s what my family plans to do during our upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort this summer!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
