I have a reservation for 2 for the World of Color dessert party and I need to add one more person to the reservation, but there is no availability for the date I booked. Do I have to cancel the reservation and not go?

Hey there, hi there, Elizabeth! Welcome back to planDisney.

I just enjoyed the World of Color Dessert Party this past week and I'm so excited to see you have reservations for it as well! Unfortunately, the World of Color Dessert Party does not work like a normal table service reservation. In those instances, when you go to check in through the Disneyland app, you are usually able to adjust your reservation by one person. The World of Color Dessert Party works differently since it is prepaid and limited availability. However, I am excited to share that just this week they have opened up more availability for the dessert party! I just checked the date you provided and at the time of writing this, there is availability for both shows! You could possibly call Guest Services and see if they can add one to your reservation. Otherwise, I would just make a new reservation for three, and once that is confirmed cancel your original reservation for two. I'm not sure how it would work if your third Guest just made a new reservation for one because you are seated by your reservation group and trying to combine them at the time of dining may cause some complications.

You all are definitely in for a treat! My planDisney pal, Tara, and I really enjoyed the plate of desserts and cheeses, along with the drinks. At check-in, I recommend asking if you can get a high top if there is availability. You will be seated in director chairs, but it was nice to be up higher with a great view of the performance.

Elizabeth, I hope this brings some magic to your day and you can get reservations to accommodate your group so that you can end your magical visit with desserts and a show! See you real soon!
