Hi Tammy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your daughter's engagement will take place during your family's upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort - it really is a great place to celebrate!
I recently attended the
Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party with my family. Seats are assigned on a "first come, first served" basis, with people who made advanced dining reservations sitting in the "lower" terrace and people with same-day reservations sitting in the "upper" terraces. We got in line about 25 minutes before the Party started, and we were able to get a table with a great view of Cinderella Castle and, of course, of Wishes and Celebrate the Magic. That being said, I didn't find that any of the tables along the "lower" terrace of the
Tomorowland Terrace Restaurant have a bad view of the show.
I would DEFINITELY tell the Cast Member who is at the podium when you check in for the Dessert Party about your daughter's impending engagement. They may be able to find a Disney's PhotoPass photographer to capture the moment for you (provided it takes place before Wishes starts) or even take pictures/videos for you with your own camera. I would also call Walt Disney World Resort before your arrival in order to make sure that the engagement is noted on your reservation.
If you want to add even more magic to your daughter's celebration, I recommend visiting
Disney Floral and Gifts in order to set up an "in-room celebration" for the newly engaged couple. I've never been disappointed by what they have to offer!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
