I would like to make a reservation at any Walt Disney Resort to have a plant-based Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day but I cannot find anywhere what dishes do restaurant have offered in the past or will offer this year. Thank you in advance.

Greetings from planDisney, Ingrid, and in the words of Lumiere, I'm so happy to have you "Be Our Guest!"

Ingrid, one of my favorite topics of discussion is dining around the Walt Disney World Resort, and there is so much more to eat than just the grey stuff (even though it's delicious). Planning a trip with my Mom who is both gluten and dairy-free has helped me appreciate the need to research food offerings in advance and I'm glad to report that you'll find a plethora of plant-based items around the Walt Disney World Resort. So... let's dig into your question!

The first thing I'll encourage you to do is navigate to the plant-based dining page of the Walt Disney World Resort website. From the home page, the quickest way to reach this page is to type "plant-based" into the search bar at the top right corner. Here you'll find a quick overview of plant-based options, how they are designated on the menus, and restaurants listed by theme park and resort.

Next in your planning, I recommend taking some time to review the menus of any restaurants that pique your interest. For example, I can personally vouch for the fantastic plant-based Vegetable “Wellington” found at Steakhouse 71 inside Disney's Contemporary Resort, but you may want to peruse other offerings.

Now, specific to Thanksgiving, Ingrid, you'll find that while there are some themed treats that might pop up, most menus do not change for the holiday. If you're hoping for something more traditional, Liberty Tree Tavern inside Magic Kingdom Park offers a plant-based version of their feast, but please note that this is quite a popular restaurant for Thanksgiving, so if you're hoping to reserve a table, make sure you are online a little before 6:00 AM, 60 days in advance of your visit or check-in date if you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel

Ingrid, I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to Thanksgiving at the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney where we'll find the ingredients to help you create a delicious vacation!
