Welcome to planDisney, Tina. Thanks for dropping by with your question for us.
I see you’ve heard the amazing news. After being closed for over a year due to the pandemic, Disney Management recently announced that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will officially reopen on April 30, 2021. It’s been so long since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. or get soaking wet on Splash Mountain.
Tina, while not much information has been released by Disney Management yet, we do know that park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. When Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen in late April, there will some new changes in place for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. In order to enter a park, Guests will need both a valid park admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. Though we don’t have all the details, I speculate it will be similar to the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that has been in place at
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since last summer. Moreover, to be compliant with current guidance from the State of California, only California residents are allowed to experience the theme parks during the phased reopening.
To stay up-to-date with the latest park news, I recommend checking out
Disneyland.com and
Disney Parks Blog occasionally so you don’t miss a beat! You can also follow
Disney’s social media accounts too! Judging by how quickly
A Touch of Disney tickets sold out (I speak from personal experience, as I waited nearly SIX hours to snag tickets for my family!), I anticipate new ticket sales and park reservations will be swooped up swiftly by Guests eager to “
Return to the Land of Magic”!
I hope you’ll come back to visit us on
planDisney for more tips and advice when we hear announcements regarding reopening guidelines for the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels. Please don’t hesitate to send us more questions. We’re all EARS to help you plan an unforgettable trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth”!
See ya real soon,
Kiki
