Hey Howdy Hey Joanne Nicole and welcome to planDisney!
Oh, my goodness Joanne Nicole, your trip to the most Magical place on Earth is coming up in just a few short weeks! I bet you are getting super excited about all the special memories and out-of-this-world experiences that await! Thank you so much for your question about your breakfast reservation, this does sound like quite a concern. Hakuna Matata Joanne Nicole, I've got you covered so let's go over this plan.
First things first, as long as you have a theme park ticket and a
Theme Park Reservation for the day of your breakfasts at Tusker House you are more than halfway there! Disney does offer breakfast times before the theme parks open and sometimes later dinner reservations may be available at the time the parks close. In your case, if Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park is scheduled to open after your breakfast reservation, Disney will allow you in earlier to make sure you have time to get to your reservation. In my past experiences, we were allowed 15-20 minutes early to have enough time to walk back to the restaurant in plenty of time. At the park entrance, you should see Cast Members holding signs that might say Early Entry or something along those lines. You most likely will have to scan your MagicBands or
MagicMobile Pass to verify your reservation but after they do, you should be let through.
If you plan on driving your car there, great, you should not have any issues getting there. If you needed to take
Disney resort transportation, just keep in mind the timing. Disney resort transportation starts its operations 45 minutes before the parks open. This includes
Early Theme Park Entry. So if the park is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. EST, Early Theme Park Entry will make this time 8:30 a.m. so transportation will start operations at 7:45 a.m. EST which should give you plenty of time if you planned on using a bus to get to this reservation.
Now I am sure you have a great deal of planning already done for your day in Animal Kingdom but I wanted to highlight a couple of my favorites.
Festival of the Lion King is a show you will not want to miss. This entertaining show will get the whole audience involved in moving and celebrating music from our favorite movie. This high-energy show should be a "must-do" on everyone's list!
Being in Disney theme parks during the day is one thing, but the nighttime energy is a totally different experience. One of the big draws for the parks at night is the illumination of the
Beacons of Magic. Every night each park icon will illuminate with a brief show. This also happens a few times throughout the night, so don't worry if you miss the first time! Just seeing how the
Tree of Life awakens with projections and the music is a really cool experience you will want to check out.
I hope this information helped get your plans finalized for your upcoming trip. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
