Walt Disney World, and what better way to add some extra magic to your trip than a visit to
Top of the World Lounge - A Villians Lair? I'll be happy to share some tips for scoring a reservation during your October trip.
I love all of the Member Lounges (an integral part of every
EPCOT day is a mid-afternoon break at the lounge there!), but the location of Top of the World is really something special. Located on the very top of
Disney's Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, it is a great spot to relax in the evening after a long day in the parks. Access is available to DVC Members who are eligible for Membership Extras, from 6 PM to midnight daily.
Wicked Wind Down is a nightly special event, with cocktails, appetizers, desserts, and a dedicated area on the outdoor terrace for a fantastic fireworks view. There is a cost for Wicked Wind Down, and to make a reservation, you can call
Member Services starting 60 days before your check-in date if you're staying at a Disney resort, or 60 days before the date you wish to visit the lounge if you'll be staying off-property. Members may also access the lounge to enjoy the nightly fireworks from
Magic Kingdom Park at no charge, and you can also make a reservation for this experience via Member Services.
Donna, since you're inside that 60-day window and planning to visit the lounge on Halloween (holidays are always very popular!), it's possible that you may not be able to snag reservations for that particular evening. If you have some flexibility with your dates, the friendly DVC Cast Members can see if there are other options for you. You can also try your luck to see if there is walk-in availability on any given day for either the Wicked Wind Down or the complimentary fireworks viewing experience. Check at the Top of the World podium located on the 16th floor of Bay Lake Tower, starting at 6 PM. Hopefully the stars will align for you to enjoy the lounge during your vacation!
