    I was going to make a reservation at 1215 (only time left) at Chef Mickey but don't want to miss the 1pm queue for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I just wanted to confirm that I have to be within the park, not just the MK area.

    Thanks for dropping by with another great Walt Disney World Resort question. I am thrilled to hear you will be visiting again soon and enjoying lunch with my pal Chef Mickey! 

    Unfortunately, yes, the Virtual Queue rules state: "To request to join an attraction virtual queue at 1:00 PM, Guests must be inside the theme park where the virtual queue will be used." I completely understand your desire to experience Tiana's Bayou Adventure during your visit, so I would keep an eye on Chef Mickey's for an alternate time. Guests do need to cancel reservations from time to time, so you may be able to find one that will allow you to dine with your favorite Disney pals and take a trip through the bayou. 

    I don't know if you'll be visiting any of the other theme parks during your vacation, but if you happen to be going to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, I suggest looking for a reservation at Tusker House Restaurant. It is a buffet and while they do have some fantastic African-inspired dishes, there are very kid-friendly items as well such as Mac & Cheese and Chicken Strips.

    If you're going to EPCOT, you'll find Mickey usually with Chip 'n' Dale at Garden Grill Restaurant. This is a family-style meal and while I love the barbecue lunch or dinner offerings, my kids adore the Mickey-shaped waffles and breakfast choices.
