Hi Vicky, welcome to planDisney.
After being closed for more than a year due to the pandemic, so many people are excited for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park to officially reopen on April 30, 2021. It looks like you’re more than ready to return to the parks too. It’s been so long since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. or ride on Space Mountain!
When Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen in late April, there will some new changes in place for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. Though not much information has been released by Disney Management yet, I can report that park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. To enter a park, Guests will need a valid park admission AND a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. Though we don’t have all the details yet, I speculate it will be like the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that Guests have been using at
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since last summer. Moreover, to be compliant with current guidance from the State of California, only California residents will be able to enjoy the theme parks during the initial phased reopening.
