Tatsuya from JP-14 Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I would like to make a reservation for the Storyteller Cafe brunch on September 3rd. I cannot make a reservation even though it is the opening date for reservations. Have they never accepted reservations in the first place? Is it closed?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Tatsuya!

Welcome to planDisney! It’s an honor to welcome to our little corner of the internet as you prepare for your visit to the Disneyland Resort in California this September! Storytellers Cafe is my favorite table service restaurant at the resort. The food is delicious—my husband swears by the chilaquiles, I can't resist the eggs benedict during breakfast, and the prime rib station at dinner is just mouthwatering. And let's be honest, any time you can get your hands on Mickey Shaped Waffles is a good time, indeed!

Now, let's get you all set for your visit!

I tried booking a table for four on September 3rd and hit the same snag as you—no tables available. Storytellers is really popular, so reservations are highly recommended. While we’re within the 60-day window for most dining reservations, it’s possible they might open up closer to the date.

I usually get a reservation a week or two before my visit since I'm local. My tip for you is to keep checking the reservations page weekly until your trip.

I understand this might not be the most straightforward answer, Tatsuya, but staying prepared will make your visit magical! You’re like a shooting star. You've come so far you can't go back to where you used to be, so if you have any other questions or need more tips, feel free to message me directly, ‘cause I’m on the job, you big nabob!

You ain't never had a (planDisney) friend like me!
